We spent the weekend up the coast camping at San Simeon. It was a lot of fun, but pretty chilly. Aunt Lulu joined us and we had lots of good times with her.
Mmmmm....camping always makes a girl hungry.
Michael's is wonderful for kid stuff. We got this mini golf set for $7. It was perfect for camping and Aslyn loved it.

He got to sleep with momma. At least we got to sleep the first night. The second night was more of a disaster and the poor group of boy scouts next to us going on a 150 mile bike ride the next day didn't get much rest. =)

For some time now Aslyn has been asking to go fishing. Fishing off the pier is free so we headed out to the store and got her her very own spongebob fishing pole. She loves it and has been catching anything she can around the house on the tip of it.
Fishing 101
Aunt Lulu helping out. Aslyn's interest lasted all of about 5 minutes and then it was on to playing with the net, but we all had fun tinkering around with the idea of ocean fishing. We saw a bunch of sea lions, lots of birds and even a few fish jump.

Looks like a very fun place to go. It did look cold, but sounds like a great escape from the heat. I think we have the same picture of Adam in the running stroller on the beach.
